Day 2 :  We start the day by cruising to a small village of Baan Saladang, an aged-old Mon community who migrated from Burma to this area in the early 19th century. The villagers here have successfully maintained their traditional life style, customs and natural surroundings. You will also see a collection of well-preserved typical Thai houses in this charming village. Afterwards, you can partake of a delicious breakfast. You will disembark nearby at approx. 09.30 am. at Bang Pa In Palace pier.

Summer Palace or Bang Pa-in Palace,Ayutthaya. A complex of royal residences first built in around the 17th century to serve as a summer palace of Ayutthaya kings. It was later abandoned and ruined until King Mongkut (Rama IV) restored the complex. Most of the buildings we see today were ordered to build during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), who regularly spent his summers here with his royal consorts. Each building features different architectural style: for example, Wehat Chamroon Palace, the only royal residence currently open to public, was built in a traditional Chinese style with materials imported from China while Aisawan Tippaya Asna Pavilion set in the middle of the lake features traditional Thai style embedded with colorful glass mosaics.Dress Code for Bang Pa In Summer Palace, During this tour, visits will be made to a former Royal Palace and areas of religious significance. The temple locates in Ayutthaya province. Wat Maha That Temple is one of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya era as it housed the Bhuddha’s holy relic. The temple was also a palace of the Supreme Patriarch of Bhuddhist Kamma monks.  Nowadays, the Mahathat temple locates in Ayutthaya Historical Park area. There are remains of interesting old buildings such as pagodas, octagonal pagodas, royal hall, small temples, murals under the Bodhi tree, and the sand stone Ayutthaya style head of the Buddha head in the tree root.

Wat Phra Si Sanphet  Located in the grand palace compound, it was used as a residential palace since the reign of King Ramathibodi I (Phra Chao U – Thong). In 1448, during the reign of King Borom Trai Lokanath , it was dedicated as the royal chapel. The prominence of this monastery is the three pagodas in which the ashes of three Kings – King Borom Trai Lokanath, King Borom Rachathirat III and King Ramathibodi II, were enshrined.

Vihara Pra Mongkhonbophit ; Pra Mongkhonbophit is made of brick covered with bronze and gilt. It is assumed it was built in the reign of Somdej Phra Chairacha in 1538, enshrined outdoor at Wat Chichiang. Later on, King Song-Tham had the Buddha image moved to the south-west of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and covered with Mondopa. Wihara Phra Mongkhonbophit was baddly burnt in 1767, the lotus bud and the right hand of the image were broken down. In the reign of King Rama V Phraya Boranrachthanin, former Ayutthaya governer, restored the image with stucco and gilt. This image, in the attitude of Subduing mara, is one of the biggest Buddha images in Thailand.
